Bromeliads play a big role at Selby Gardens, and they are literally in the spotlight at Lights in Bloom each year within the Bromeliad Tree.
This year, the Bromeliad tree features five different bromeliad varieties. It was constructed with more than 600 Bromeliads by the Selby Gardens’ horticulture team, and then decked in red and green lights for Lights in Bloom.
Now you have the opportunity to bring a piece of this year’s Selby Gardens’ Bromeliad Tree to your own home! The annual Bromeliad Tree sale will take place on Thursday, January 9, 1 to 3 p.m. Bromeliad varieties included in the sale are the Neoregelia ‘Malbec,’ Neoregelia ‘Green Apples,’ Neoregelia ‘Donger,’ Neoregelia ‘Bonfire,’ and Quesnelia testudo with prices ranging from $6 to $10. A selection of orchids will also be for sale.
