Ikebana: Sogetsu Meets Chagall

Create two floral arrangements that contrast the Sogetsu Ikebana style – utilizing line, color and simple natural materials from the local environment – with one type of Western arrangement which uses massive floral materials as seen in the painting of Chagall. All materials and containers will be provided, including instructional handouts. Students need to bring floral cutting scissors.
