Marie Selby Botanical Gardens introduces a new event series. Lunch in the Gardens features engaging speakers accompanied by a delightful luncheon catered by Michael’s On East.

Hosted by Jean Weidner Goldstein, Teri Hansen and Margaret Wise, Lunch in the Gardens draws hundreds of guests for a noontime program and luncheon in an unforgettable locale. Proceeds from Lunch in the Gardens support Selby Gardens’ community outreach education programs, international research and conservation and beautiful, world-class horticulture displays. It is our hope that we can help children and families develop an appreciation for nature.


THE SCENTS OF THE FRENCH RIVIERA – April 19, 2017

Ashley Wilberding Balavoine, a perfumer with Firmenich, a Swiss company that is the largest privately-owned fragrance company, will help you discover your nose in the heart of France’s perfume region. Learn more about the art of the perfumer, the region’s perfume heritage which is famous for its jasmine, rose, lavender, lemon and orange – but a few of the floral ‘notes’ that lie at the heart of many of the world’s most distinctive fragrance harmonies. It is these floral varieties distilled into the essences that are so sought after by French perfume industry giants such as Chanel, Dior and Estée Lauder.
