We offer a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for small intimate gatherings, corporate meetings, or extravagant affairs for hundreds along the iconic Sarasota Bayfront. Onsite catering is provided by Michael’s On East, the most respected event vendor in the region. We can help you design the perfect event for your budget or occasion.
The Christy Payne Mansion (also known as the Museum for Botany & the Arts) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and offers a showcase setting with a variety of room types and sizes for any function or occasion. The first floor is ideal for small receptions or dinners. On the first floor, there are two main rooms, two sun porches and an outdoor patio area. On the second floor there are three small meeting rooms ideal for conference meetings and engagements.
Great Room by the Bay
With 60-feet of glass windows showcasing beautiful views of Sarasota Bay, this location can serve a variety of purposes and has a full complement of multi-media, internet capabilities and A/V options. A Selby Gardens Event Associate can assistance you with floor planning as well as suggestions for decor and design. The Great Room by the Bay is open for private rentals seven days a week based upon availability.

Whether you’re planning a formal or informal reception, our expansive and majestic Great Lawn, Banyan Tree area, Children’s Rainforest, and Schimmel Pavilion outdoor areas are adaptive to your needs. Outdoor venues seven days a week on based on availability.
