Selby Gardens’ Education Department celebrates lifelong learning by providing classes for students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, and are taught by a team of highly accomplished instructors. Course options include a wide variety of topics in art, science, health and fitness, and unique combinations of these disciplines.
From a photography course inside the Historic Spanish Point campus’ Butterfly House to a hands-on horticulture class at our Downtown Sarasota campus, each campus offers different class options that enhance these two unique learning environments.
For students seeking a more in-depth learning experience, Selby Gardens is home to The Academy of Botanical Art. This accredited program provides skills to students of any experience level. Additionally, class credit may be offered to students interested in pursuing a botanical illustration certificate.
Please view our class registration policies and find current class offerings below. For questions about classes, email education@selby.org
A portion of a course tuition can be applied against an annual membership for class participants who do not have a current Selby Gardens membership. A membership to Selby Gardens provides discounts on future classes, lectures, events, and admission to our Downtown Sarasota and Historic Spanish Point campuses. Reach out to education@selby.org if you are interested in this special offer!
