Explore Coastal Mangroves and Seagrass Beds on the Carefree Learner Boat

A unique chance to explore the coastal mangroves and seagrass beds of Sarasota Bay aboard Sarasota High School Marine Biology Department’s popular floating classroom and from the Steinwachs Family Foundation Mangrove Walkway of Selby Gardens. Learn how mangroves and seagrass protect and nurture our local marine environment. Treasures of animal and plant life hidden under the waters will be brought aboard for all to study as well as opportunities to see sea bird rookeries and dolphins along the way. Wear comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing and bring binoculars if you like. Limited to 20.
