A Different Bonsai

November 13 2019 · 1:30pm  – 3:30pm

Kokedamo, a style of Japanese bonsai, where a plant’s root system is simply wrapped in sphagnum moss and bound with string, transforming it into a sculptural art form. In this class you will take a fresh plant and wrap it in a clay based soil recipe that is designed to hold its spherical shape, then you will fasten moss around it. This is a great project that combines nature and art.
