BELLA MEYER: Founder of fleursBELLA, New York

Join renowned floral artist Bella Meyer, founder of fleursBELLA, for a guided evening tour of the Warhol exhibit along with a floral design session inspired by floral art tied to the Warhol: Flowers in the Factory exhibition.

Bella Meyer grew up immersed in art and painting.  Over the years Bella incorporated flowers into her work and in 2005 her New York floral studio, fleursBELLA was born.  Flowers have always been close to Bella’s heart.  “Their unique ability to inspire people to smile, or to bring a moment’s peace, is important.”  Bella creates arrangements much in the way an artist paint, just as she had watched her grandfather, Marc Chagall, paint bouquets that brought joy to the world.

Warhol consistently tested traditional boundaries between art and life, and thanks to his perpetual curiosity, the natural world offered a still underappreciated influence on his career.

Our Warhol exhibit horticultural designers have drawn inspiration from Warhol’s work, using the repetition of shapes and textures, along with bright pops of color, to create vivid scenes of  living art that flout conventional presentations.  You will be inspired to create your own Warholesque floral showpiece.
