Fall Outdoor Concert Series at Selby Gardens Begins Oct. 4

International and local musicians will perform on the great lawn at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens this October during the Gardens’ popular Fall Concert Series. This year’s concerts theme is inspired by Latin and jazz influences. The concerts are held from 1 -3 p.m., Sundays, Oct. 4 – 25 and are appropriate for all ages. Performances scheduled are:

  • Oct. 4: La Lucha: a Tampa Bay based trio that consists of a diverse mixture of Jazz standards, Latin inspired rhythms and original compositions. www.laluchamusic.com
  • Oct. 11: Michael Ross Quartet: this Tampa-based foursome Tampa area perpetuates a fresh and altogether radiant outlook, due to its often forthright blend of swing, funk and psycho-rock induced licks. www.michaelrossbass.com
  • Oct. 18: Diego Figueiredo: Diego is an extraordinary fast rising star among the world’s greatest jazz guitarists. His superb technique, timing and imagination have made him one of the hottest international names right now and he has performed in more than 50 countries. www.diegofigueiredo.net
  • Oct. 25: Lauren Mitchell Band: One of Sarasota’s favorite blues singers returns to Selby Gardens for this end-of-series performance. www.laurenmitchellband.com

Admission is free to Selby Gardens Members; $19 Adults, $6 Children, 4-11. Food and refreshments available. No outside coolers, please.
