Intro to Drawing in Nature – Plein Air Pencil Class
In the style of the French Impressionists, this open-air course will focus on the techniques of drawing in nature. Students will learn how to capture environmental perspectives in art, ranging from landscapes to botanical portrait illustration.
Students will learn the basics of outlining shapes and shadows found in the Gardens, building perspective and composition, adding tones and textures, and so much more. Open to all ages/skill levels.
Please meet at the Welcome Center around 10:15 am to be checked-in for your 10:30 am start time. The best address to use as a reference is 1534 Mound Street, Sarasota, FL 34236. The parking lot is located across the street from the address provided above.
