School & Teacher Programs

Selby Gardens offers a variety of ways for schools to extend their classrooms outdoors with standards-aligned guided programs for K-12 school groups from September through May, plus self-guided explorations available throughout the year. Teachers can also bring a little bit of Selby Gardens into their classrooms with our Complimentary Curricula.

Selby Gardens also participates in EdExploreSRQ, a web-based search platform that helps Sarasota County schools find experiential learning opportunities in the area, and the EdExploreSRQ Goes WILD for Literacy program funded by The Patterson Foundation.

Selby Gardens has a designated fund at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County
earmarked to support visits by Sarasota County Public Schools.
