Historic Spanish Point Campus
The Historic Spanish Point campus is an expansive, outdoor archaeological and historic museum. A few tips for getting the most out of your visit:
Allow plenty of time
Take a relaxing hour-long stroll or spend a morning or afternoon exploring the entire campus. We recommend bringing a camera to capture the beautiful surroundings during your visit.
Dress comfortably
Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing. The campus is a combination of sunny and shaded areas; a hat and sunscreen are recommended. Bring an umbrella, particularly during the summer months when afternoon showers are common. Insect repellant and sunglasses are also good to have on hand to help you stay safe and comfortable.
Take a tour
Our docent-led tours are designed to help you explore and discover the rich history of the site. You can also get out on the water with a boat tour on the Magic, our replica pioneer-era boat (offered seasonally)
Strollers
You are welcome to bring a stroller if you have a young child, as there are 30 acres of ground to cover.
Relax
Benches are located throughout the Historic Spanish Point campus for your relaxation.
Phones and Electronic Devices
Please silence phones and electronic devices so that everyone may enjoy the tranquility of the gardens.
