Noshing in Nature: Juniper ReimaGINed
Botany has never tasted so good! In this new series, learn the plants behind your favorite foods and beverages and sample your way through the science of plants.
From medicine to martinis, gin has a storied cultural and culinary history. But what is the conifer behind the “Tom Collins?” Learn from a Selby Gardens’ horticulturist about juniper as a tree, a berry, and its crazy coniferous characteristics. Then, really celebrate GINuary by joining a master mixologist in an open dialogue with an open bar, detailing global cocktail culture. Finally, put your new knowledge into practice by sampling varieties of floral gins, savoring international cocktail recipes, and bonding over Bond’s favorite beverage.
