Silk Painting Short Courses

Join silk artist Jamie Kirkell for a 2-hour painting-on-silk class where you will design and paint your own silk scarf to take home at the end of the class This is a fun project, suitable for beginners or seasoned artists alike. Plus, you can choose the colors that suit your palette! If you can’t attend the 2-day workshop, this one’s for you! Choose either the AM or PM class. Both sessions are identical.

• Children aged 12+ with a demonstrated interest in art welcome.
• General admission is included in the course fee. We encourage you to stay and enjoy the Gardens after class.
• All materials and supplies for this workshop are included in the tuition.
• Please bring color swatches or samples if you’d like to match a favorite color.
• Please check in at the Welcome Center at 10:15 for a 10:30 a.m. start time.
• Wearing clothes and shoes that can get dye on them is recommended. Aprons will be available to borrow.
