“Lights at Spooky Point” Returns October 3–November 1

Tickets now on sale for fourth-annual Halloween-themed, walk-through
light show at Selby Gardens’ Historic Spanish Point Campus in Osprey

August 26, 2025 | Sarasota, FL. – Lights at Spooky Point, the Halloween-themed light show introduced to Selby Gardens’ Historic Spanish Point campus, returns in October for a fourth season. This year’s show kicks off on Friday, October 3 and remains on view nightly through November 1.

Tickets for Lights at Spooky Point can be purchased through Selby Gardens’ website at selby.org or in person at either of its two campuses. Member tickets go on sale August 26; Non-member tickets go on sale September 3. To become a member, visit selby.org.

Lights at Spooky Point has quickly become one of the most anticipated events of the season,” said Jennifer O. Rominiecki, president and CEO of Selby Gardens. “It offers a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience you won’t find anywhere else in the region, and it’s quickly becoming a beloved fall tradition for families at our Historic Spanish Point campus.”

Visitors to Lights at Spooky Point will journey along a hauntingly lit trail that winds through the wooded grounds and historic landmarks of the campus. Along the path, guests will encounter whimsical Halloween displays and imaginative light installations at every turn. Returning favorites include the spectral “ghost orchids” that hover above the Pioneer Graveyard, towering “Dracula orchids” draped in eerie Spanish moss, and vibrant “spider orchids” spun into glowing webs high in the trees. These stunning decorations are inspired by real-life plants bearing the same names—a playful nod to Selby Gardens’ botanical roots and horticultural mission.

Guests also will find plenty of pumpkins, scores of skeletons, and other Halloween classics at “Spooky Point.” The show is designed for all ages, with just a few minor jump-scare opportunities to keep older kids happy.

“Lights at Spooky Point is meant to be a delightful, family-friendly experience—equal parts whimsical and fun,” said Jennifer O. Rominiecki, president and CEO of Selby Gardens. “Our creative partners at Affairs in the Air have amazed us year after year, and we can’t wait to see the new spooky magic they bring to life in 2025.” Rominiecki also expressed gratitude to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and the Koski Family Foundation for their generous support, which helps make the event possible and ensures access for community members who might not otherwise be able to attend.

A limited number of tickets will be sold for each night of the show, with two entry times available—6:30 and 7:45 p.m. Guests with young children or mobility issues are encouraged to consider the earlier entry. Those who want the full “Spooky Point” experience can opt for the later slot, after dark. Ticket prices for Lights at Spooky Pointare $34 for adults ($24 for Selby Gardens members), $19 for ages 5-17, and free for children 4 and under. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged, as some nights may sell out prior to opening time. Food and beverages will be sold on-site throughout each evening of the show.

To learn more and purchase tickets, go online to selby.org or visit the Welcome Center at either the Downtown Sarasota campus or the Historic Spanish Point campus.
