Those who know Selby Gardens know you have to look both up and down to fully appreciate the grounds, and this week, the Gardens’ Director of Horticulture, Mike McLaughlin, shows you how easy it is to start your own “sky garden”. With its focus on epiphytes (plants that grow on harmlessly other plants), wandering the grounds of Selby Gardens provides plenty of ideas for adding orchids, bromeliads and tillandsia to trees in your own backyard. Not only do they add beauty and dimension to your landscaping, they are relatively easy to mount and maintain.
Selby Gardens is featured weekly on ABC7 News at Noon. Tune in Thursdays to see more informative segments like this one.
