Happy Hortiween! Designing an Autumn Centerpiece – Taught by Selby Gardens’ Horticulture Department

Just in time for spooky season, create a beautiful botanical centerpiece!

For this hands-on horticultural art project, each student will create their own fall-themed ornamental plant arrangement, inside a hollowed pumpkin! Students will learn how to put together an attractive cohesive arrangement based on the principles of botanical color theory and horticultural design. All horticultural supplies are provided for the demos. Students take home the arrangement prepared in class. Perfect for hobbyists! Open to all ages/skill levels.

All materials for this horticulture class are covered in the tuition. General admission is included in the course fee. You will be working with live plants, wire, soil, and gardening tools; feel free to bring a favorite pair of gardening gloves, hand pruners, and/or safety glasses.
