Holiday Porch Planter Workshop

Brighten up your home for the holidays and welcome anyone who comes a ‘wassailing with a mixed container garden featuring some of our horticulturists’ favorite seasonal plants. Learn the principles of container design, and what it takes to keep the plants looking their best through the holidays and beyond. You will create and take home a finished piece of horticultural art to give as a gift to your favorite plant person…or yourself! This workshop is suitable for all skill levels.

Things to Know

• Children aged 12+ with a demonstrated interest in plants welcome. 

• General admission is included in the course fee. We encourage you to stay and enjoy the Gardens after class. 

• All horticultural materials and tools for this workshop are included in the tuition.  

• You will be working with live plants, soil, and garden tools- feel free to bring a favorite pair of gardening gloves or hand pruners if you have them. 

• Please check in at the Welcome Center at 10:15 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. start time.
