Selby Gardens Board Elects Officers, New Members

SARASOTA, FL. | July 9, 2025 – The Board of Trustees of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens has elected Katherine Martucci as Chair and Jeannie Russell as Vice Chair for its 2026 fiscal year. The Selby Gardens Board also elected executive Sherry Koski, businessman Kevin O’Donohue, and entrepreneur, Nikki Sedacca, to three-year terms as trustees. All new Board terms began on July 1, 2025.

Martucci has served on the Executive Committee of the Garden Club of America, as well as other philanthropic boards and not for profit organizations. She continues her volunteer commitments and previously served on the Advisory Board of the Northeast Community Center in Millerton, NY, as well as the board of Children First as Chair in Sarasota, Florida.

Russell is a mentor to children through the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization, is committed to community volunteerism, and continues to support numerous philanthropic causes. She is the former President of the Founders Garden Club of Sarasota, has served on numerous committees of the Garden Club of America and was a member of the Selby Gardens Advisory Committee.

“Katherine Martucci has provided valuable insight as a trustee over the past several years, including leadership of our governance committee, and we are fortunate that she will lead our Board as we embark on Phase Two of our transformative Master Plan with a groundbreaking ceremony later this year,” said Jennifer Rominiecki, president and CEO of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. “Jeannie Russell has also been a vital champion for Selby Gardens, and as a member of our Board of Trustees, has helped Selby Gardens advance our mission and vision for the future during this transformative time.”

Sherry Koski is a former executive, dedicated to philanthropy, focusing on health, children, and education. She excels in building deep relationships and is a passionate visionary for impactful contributions both locally and globally through non-profit organizations. Sherry enjoys fundraising and introducing new individuals to Sarasota’s charitable endeavors and is eager to continue this noble work for years to come.

Kevin O’Donohue has over 35 years’ experience in private equity, finance, and management consulting and serves on the boards of several private equity funds. Current and former board roles include UC Berkeley Changemaker, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and the Metropolitan Club.

Nikki Sedacca is an entrepreneur and strategic business leader with over three decades of experience in fine jewelry design, contemporary art, luxury retail, and interior and spatial design. Nikki is equally known for her leadership in civic and cultural life, serving on numerous nonprofit boards and chairing high-impact fundraising events across the arts and education sectors.
