Flowers have always held a special place in the history of Valentine’s Day. Roses and other flowers boast strong symbolism of love, loyalty…and passion! Every year on February 14, millions of people exchange flowers to express their love, and more than 250 million roses are produced annually for Valentine’s Day.

Valentines & Galentines Paint Night: Valentine’s Day Watercolor Workshop

Friday, February 11, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Members $65/ Non-Members $75

Bring your significant other or your best friend to create a Valentine’s Day watercolor. Create a meaningful keepsake while learning watercolor techniques.

Blossoms to Bouquets: Growing a Cut Flower Garden (taught by Selby Gardens’ Horticulture department)

Saturday, February 12, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Members $55/ Non-Members $60

Learn to grow your own cut flower garden with Selby Gardens’ expert horticulturalists. Workshop topics include selecting plants, general care, seed propagation, cutting flowers for vases or bouquets, and the basics of flower arranging. All flowers/potting supplies provided for the demos. Students will take home a flower arrangement or bouquet. Ideal for hobbyists! Open to all ages/skill levels.

“Let me count the resins that I love you…”

A Sappy Valentine’s Day: Resin Pour Art Workshop

Friday, February 18, 2 to 5 p.m.

Members $99/ Non-Members $120

Express your favorite memories by capturing them in a resin frieze! This beginner workshop will introduce you to the basics of pour art. Bring small memory items like ticket stubs, trinkets, photos, or dried flowers to cast in a painted resin window. Bring a partner, or a group (up to four), to share a piece.
