
The Art & Science of Butterflies – Special Seasonal Workshop at Historic Spanish Point
Explore Sarasota County’s only Butterfly House through an artistic lens. Enjoy a brief natural history lecture introducing Florida’s native butterflies: why and how they are unique, their role in the ecosystem, and conservation strategies. The lecture will be followed by instruction in watercolor painting techniques that capture the beauty of butterflies, flowers, and nature. Open to all ages/skill levels.
All supplies are included in the class fee. General admission is included in the course fee. Participants have a 30-minute lunch break, and may bring snacks or purchase food from the dining facility on campus.
